The Mission Life

Great week, we had some great breakthroughs in the work, in myself and
in the people.

We had an opportunity to go to a park and elder Durham and I have been
using his crutches as conversation starters. We went up to a lady this
week sitting on a bench and we went straight to testifying which is
out of my comfort zone and it was so cool how the spirit touched her
and she invited us to sit down on the bench with her and teach her
more:)

“Osmar”
Over a month ago I had an opportunity to visit a man with some other
missionaries at the hospital, he is an old Cuban war veteran who was
about to go into his operation to amputate his other leg. He was being
taught and yesterday he was baptized, it was a special experience to
be just a small part of getting to know him while he was being taught
by other missionaries. Was able to attend his baptism yesterday and it
was so special to see the joy he had as he came out of the waters of
baptism. What a blessing it is to have the restored gospel back on The
earth today to perform ordinances with the correct authority from God
to do so.

Love you all and I know God loves you, I challenge you all to take a
minute and just reflect on your relationship with the savior. I love
the Book of Mormon and I love this gospel.

Great Week!!

Oct. 9, 2017

This week has been good. A lot of challenges but a lot of blessings.

Elder Durham sprained his ankle pretty bad this week playing some basketball

I didn’t sprain my ankle this week.

I know that our redeemer lives and that we can become clean and healed
through his Atoning sacrifice. Thankful for this world and for
everything I have been given. Sorry for a short general. Have a great
week and here are some pictures

First Week Training

Oct. 2 2017

Pretty awesome week, I got a new missionary as a companion and it’s
pretty cool. We have had some great miracles, we were able to stop by
a house we felt prompted to go to and had an opportunity to talk to a
guy who had just received news that he had cancer. We were able to
listen to him on his couch outside his house. It was cool to be able
to smile and show that there is hope and that the Gospel of Jesus
Christ can bless him. We challenged him to read the Book of Mormon and
promised him that everything we talk about revolves around the
validity of this book. I love this gospel and I know it’s true,
thankful to have a companion to go 2 by 2 and to help others. Super
blessed and I have continued eating food as the spirit directs with a
hope that I will be able to eat it and I have seen miracles with that.
Love y’all and have a great week

Un bendición. God has granted me opportunities to eat food. I am thankful for his blessings. And I am able to see them more and more.

Miracles of the Faithful

This week has been miraculous, I have been able to eat food according
to the promptings of the spirit and from the priesthood blessings I
have received on my mission. I have stayed close to the Lord and I
have been able to move forward with strength day by day. I know this
church is true and that Joseph Smith restored the original
organization Christ establish by the POWER OF GOD. Also known as the
priesthood, which is a sacred responsibility for the blessing of Gods
children, not to for the purpose of gaining recognition form the
world. Everything we do out here as missionaries and as a church is to
glorify our Heavenly Father. I know that my redeemer lives and that he
loves us. I cannot deny the existence of Jesus Christ and the
ministering of angels.

Here is a Scripture in the Book of Mormon, Another testament of Jesus
Christ in the Book of Moroni. It is the last Chapter of the Book of
Mormon.

Chapter 10

6 And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing
that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.
7 And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost;
wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he
worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the
same today and tomorrow, and forever.

What a blessing it is to have all the tools I need to use to return
back to my Heavenly Father. I have been saved and now I am preparing
myself each day to meet my Heavenly Father with the Restored Gospel of
Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is “a record of God’s dealings with
ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains the fulness of the
everlasting gospel.”(Introduction of The Book of Mormon)

Elder Veñesquez will be leaving to go back to Buena Ventura! He had served there for 11 months and he is going back;) I will be training this next transfer, I am very excited for the opportunity. Should be a great growing experience.

Florida Orlando Mission

It’s amazing the joy you feel as a missionary. I can honestly say that these past 10 months have been some of the hardest times of my life as I have had many hurdles to jump physically and mentally, however, at the end of the day I have a savior that suffered and ate formula for many years with me. And he continues to inject formula into his glow in the dark feeding tube everyday with me. He has suffered for the afflictions I have felt and has sent his angels including those that have loved me that have been there every step of the way. I wouldn’t trade these 2 years of my life for anything in the world. It’s really amazing what the restored gospel can do to someone’s life as they act in faith according to the spirit of revelation. I am a witness that he lives and that we can all be forgiven and even healed. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of a latter Days Saints is Jesus Christ establishment that was here when he lived. We are really close to his coming and none of us knows when he shall come but I do know that I am preparing myself to meet my Heavenly Father some day as his son.

I love the Florida Orlando Mission and I have had such a pleasure to serve around fellow missionaries who have become great friends of mine as we labor together having been set apart by prophets and apostles. I know that this church is true, I know that we have a prophet called of God today who guides the world and prophesies. His name is Thomas S. Monson. I know that the Book of Mormon is the most correct book of any book on earth. I share these things, which I hold dear, in the name of Jesus Christ

Amen.

Sup fans, I forgot to write a weekly last week so I will fill you in.

Last week

Highlight was getting anestesia for an endoscope! Yee yee! It went
well and I woke up saying some funny things which I will not share
with you all. Before the procedure, I was able to feel the love of my
Heavenly Father and I just know that everything is for a purpose and I
know that these past trials have helped me become stronger. I know
that the Lord will not let me fail as I hold unto him. I am in his
hands, and I am honored to be considered a servant of the Lord.

This week
We were able to prepare for Hurricane Irma which opened some
opportunities to ask to serve people. When I was on exchanges we had a
really good contact with a lady named Micklane, she grew up in a
different faith and it was super cool to see her countenance change
from unsure to interested as we were able to show her how Christ
centered the Book of Mormon was.

We were able to play some street basketball this week and share a
little bit of the restoration.

Super good week, each day is a blessing.

Servicio es la manera de Cristo

Voy a escribir en Inglés. Valencia is a great area, this week we have
been really working to strengthen the members by using Facebook. It
has been really cool to see how members can easily send a message
about Jesus Christ anytime. His gospel is here today. Something that I
have loved doing on my mission as of late is cooking. It’s
therapeutic! Elder Valesquez will eat anything too so that makes
cooking even better;) a drop of splash makes every nice🤗🤑 LOL.
Something about serving someone helps you grow so much love for them.
It helps me see from another perspective. I just want to bear my
testimony that I love this gospel, and I am so proud to be a Mormon.
It’s dope, honestly. Nothing more fulfilling.

Taylor’s Baptism Aug. 21

English

“Tamales”

Also, had a cool experience where I felt prompted to cancel our dinner

and we did it and then got the idea to buy timeless and go to do one

and ask if we can eat with them;) the budget of a missionary who

doesn’t eat opens a lot of doors. I even go to gas stations and buy

something for someone either getting gas or in the store and then

leave. It’s been pretty neat. I figure it might leave a weird but

positive impression. Anyways, the evening of our canceled dinner we

were looking for a good while not having anybody accept our dinner

date when Valesquez mentioned a Cuban family we could stop by and try

to have tamales with. We got there and nobody was there. There

neighbors were right in front of them! We got out and finally these 2

guys accepted our tameles, at this point we just gave them out. And

one of them said that he had been talking to a Mormon less active 2

weeks ago and was interested, and when we showed up he said this was a

sign from God that he needed to learn. We are going to call him

tonight to schedule a temple tour. We will see what happens.

Checked out this sweet sight

Dale
