Goodbye Florida Orlando Mission

Feb. 5, 2018

I love this mission. I have been changed. I am a witness that Jesus

Christ loves. I have finished my mission and all that the Lord has

intended for me to do. I am aware of his will and he needs me to

return home. I feel so good about it. I know that my redeemer lives.

What sweet comfort this sentence gives. He lives, he lives, who once

was dead. He lives, my ever living Head.

This has been life changing. I bear testimony of miracles.

In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Splash and God are on the same page.

See you soon Utah

This week has been amazing!

I love how much of a difference I have been able to make this transfer!

As we expressed our thanks to this awesome family as elder Howard will

be leaving the area, Brian shared with us how much of a difference we

have made with our visits. He expressed how much he cares and wants to

go to church. It was special to see as he has been making great

efforts to come back to church.

As we were at the door step we were there talking with a young girl.

It was getting late and as we expressed our love for them, her brother

came to the door in an effort to ask us to leave. We bore strong

testimony and he became silent. The next day he came to church, he

stood up in one of our meetings expressing how he wants to come back

to church.

The lord is working with us. I love each of y’all so much. The Lord loves us.

Please, take time to love someone who is struggling or doing great!

Blessing of the Members!

Such great families here in the Orlando Florida mission.

They are a family who have taken us in here in poinciana. They made

som breakfast for dinner and it was amazing. We were able to talk

about where they have been spiritually, and it is so cool how close

you can feel to someone when you hear about where they have been and

how the Atonement of Jesus Christ has helped them come back.

Jenny Davila.

She is an angel! We had dinner with them and they were so loving. She

rubbed my neck as I wasn’t feeling well enough to eat that night. That

was a tender mercy as I haven’t been too healthy as I have been eating

food. She began to tear up as she has known me since the beginning of

my mission when I was eating but rice and pears. I love her and am

thankful for her motherly care. She is a best friend of mine.

I love the members. I have made some of the closest relationships on

my mission with the members.

Vanessa is a member of 1 year. She is a huge blessing to us as we have

been teaching a deaf man through sister missionaries. He came to

church and needed an interpreter. A member not even of our ward

happily helped us out. Alexi had a great experience, I am so grateful

for the service of members.

Mosiah 2

17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that

ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye

are only in the service of your God.

Jenny is a great cook!

Wow, I have much to be grateful for. I have such a different life than I did before my mission. I love the savior and I want to be like him.

I am glad that I chose to serve a mission.

We have been teaching a guy from Puerto Rico. He just started reading the Bible a couple months ago. He has a strong motivation to learn more. It is cool how much he has already gained from studying the word of God. We introduced to him the Book of Mormon and he was intrigued by it. He shared his concerns about how this book adds on to the Bible and we were able to bear witness that this is another testament of Jesus Christ, and indeed it is more scripture. Not from a man, but from God. He struggled to see that, but we were able to encourage him to pray about what we have shared. We are excited to get in contact again to see the answer he received.

Moroni 10:4

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Love you all.

Wow, I have much to be grateful for. I have such a different life…

This man is 94 years old. He was more than happy to take a picture with us.

Week 1 of Year 2

Jan. 8, 2018

I am so grateful for those who live the gospel this week was especially rewarding as we have been able to see those we have been working with come to church for the first time in a while.

It is so cool to see the growth in The individuals you work with. Elder Howard bore a touching testimony of the love he has for the members and people here in sacrament meeting. I was touched and am so blessed to be companions with him.

We are working with brother Oakley and his family in coming back to church, brother Oakley came to church! He was touched by Elder Howard’s testimony.

A girl named kayleen was baptized a couple months ago and she is 16 years old. She has shown such strength in the gospel, being the only member of her family. Her mom has begun to see her light and came to church yesterday. She is such an influence on her family by living the gospel!

We met a man named alexi recently and found out he was deaf. Thankfully we have use of tablets so we could skype in asl missionaries to help us teach. It was amazing how as they taught him in American Sign Language we were able to feel the truthfulness of the spirit.

Peace in Christ.

I love you so much,

New Year!

Jan. 1, 2018

This week has been a trying week. I have been in excruciating pain each day which brought to my knees in prayer. The Lord blessed me to withstand the pain of my disease.

I have had reactions which make me throw up on the spot when I don’t need to, so I threw up as we were driving on the side of a road, after that I felt better so we went to another house. We were sitting in the car waiting, and looking at these sweet sand hill cranes in front of someone’s house. We get out and see a little girl out front, we were jokingly saying “are those your pets?(trying a new appoach) she said nothing and went inside. So we kept walking, as we walked just past the house I nudged Elder Howard letting him know that I was going to throw up again. I threw up and as we were doing so this little girls mom is watching from the front of her house. She calls out to us after I threw up and says “are y’all drunk!( keep in minded we were wearing black coats because it was cold out so I guess we looked pretty sketch)This is private property!! Who do you think you are talking to my daughter like that! She told us to leave or else she would call the cops. We agreed and as we walked to our car she was filming us… hahahaha. It was pretty funny.

I am so grateful for this gospel and for the members.

She is a miracle who has been having a struggle as she has quickly come to know the gospel is true but her husbands has threatened to abandon her if she does. She has shown great faith has she has made plans to follow God no matter the circumstance. We love the faith of those who trust in Christ enough to act.

I love you all dearly and especially those not of my religion. I am who I am because of my great friends and family.

Kissimmee Christmas Round 2

Dec. 25

The Lord has blessed me with so much

I have been able to see how the Lords plan has brought peace to others through my afflictions. A year ago, I was eating rice and pears in the ward I am serving in again now. The people I met were excited to see me and how I am eating all food. I am so blessed to be able to eat food and to share this gospel. The lord has blessed my afflictions to help others. I am a witness that the members of the church are precious. I love you all. The lord has blessed me with so much

The Lord’s Timing

Sorry for multiple posts-Catching up after our big move to UT…(zach’s mom)

Dec. 18, 2017

The world is falling and the gospel holds me together during times of distress we can always turn to the lord. I know the Lord can bless you as you obey. The world is fake, the people who follow the world will come to know that the world doesn’t bring happiness. I am grateful for the gospel which brings the light as others surround you. I am here because I cannot wait another day without serving others or helping someone come closer to his son Jesus Christ, this is THE MOST precious work the lord has asked us to do.

For those who don’t believe in a God I would like to share an experience I had tonight. As I ate food I was impressed to eat. I was come to the feeling that the lord loves me and that he is aware. I know that he loves you and you can know too, just believe.

You are all precious.

That is all.

I will be getting transferred back to my home ward, Buena Ventura!!! I will be paired up with Elder Howard for the 3 time in my mission. We are pumped and we know the Lord is going to bless us for living up to his expectation with the saviors help, who is all we need to return back to the father.

Bless you all,

In the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Week 5

Many miracles were seen this week.

Was blessed to go to down town Orlando to share the light the world
video! We were walking around Lake Eola park which is a hotspot for a
lot of people. As we were walking around we saw a worker who seemed
bored. We walked up and got weird, he watched the video. Turns out he
has a cousin who is Mormon. He was very interested, we gave him a Book
of Mormon and committed him to talk to his cousin about what we
believe, specifically about the Book of Mormon.

“Taco Bell”
Elder Durham has helped me grow my love for Taco Bell, we have been
going there a lot which has given us opportunities to share the light
the world video.

I have grown to love people of all beliefs. I am happy and that is why
I doing this work.

This is the last week of the transfer, hoping I get to stay. Love this
area and all the people in it.

What an amazing week of sharing the gospel. Feel closer to my savior.

We had the opportunity to hear from a general authority this week.
Elder Klebingat, I felt the spirit and just know that this gospel is
real. I am so blessed with this gospel and I plan to take this to all
4 corners to the earth. I have been blessed with the value of the
commandments growing up. I have been blessed with the Lords mercy. I
know my father in Heaven loves every one of us. Have an amazing week.
